NAME: Cynthia Reyes
STATE: San Diego, CA
EMAIL: mrstkdsd@yahoo.com
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I just got this obit on Rosie Jane
(STEWARD)BROCK and would like some help with two sisters that are listed
surviving her. I have an Early STEWARD born about 1904 on my family tree.
Can someone confirm this is the Earlene Butler listed in the obit? Also,
the Frances Stanford listed; I do not have a Frances listed as a sister.
Any insight?
I tried emailing John Steward, but it came back to me.
Thank you

DATE: Mon Oct 1 01:06:45 2007
NAME: sheryl patterson
STATE: tulsa, Okla.
EMAIL: jimsheryl@cox.net
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I am tring to find what happened to John
Powell, bn. 1775-80 and wife Mary. he is listed on the 1837,38 tax list
for Van Buren Co. also his 2 sons that are listed. one my GGGgrandfather
William Austin Powell spelled Osten, on tax list for 1839 and on 1840
census. and brother Josiah Powell on 1840 census. Austin md. Mary Ann
Roden or Rodden. don't know who her family was. would like to hear from
any Rodens from Van buren Co. I found a John Powell on the 1840 Carroll
Co. Ar census that fits the age of this John and wife Mary. but don't
know how close Van Buren Co. and Carroll Co. are. from each other. my
John Powell was the son of Ambrose Powell who died in 1827 in Maury Co.
Tn. John is listed on the probate for Ambrose Powell as exectutor. and in
the document it said John Powell lived in Hickman Co. Tn. he is listed
there in 1820 and 1830 also civil war records say Josiah and Austin were
born in Hickman Co. Tn. also pension papers. in 1850 Josiah and Austin
are in Ozark, Ar. Franklin Co. John's wife Mary was living with my Wm.
Austin on 1860 Franklin Co. Ar.census. my uncle is the County Judge for
Franklin Co. Ar. and still resides on the land that William Austin
Powell Homesteaded after the Civil War. are there any older records for
Van Buren Co. not on this website. that go back that far. need help.
