It is my understanding from an article I read in the Pope Co.Historian that James along with his sons had an ox driven freightbusiness between Quitman and Clarksville before the railroad putthem out of business. Vinson and his first wife, Adeline Edith HOLMAN had sons Bertram, William Franklin Merton, Lawrence David, Clarence Uriah, and Bill Charles MOORE, all born in Van Buren County. I am especiallylooking for information on the ancestors of Uriah MOORE and Martha Estella GODWIN. Martha Estella GODWIN died in 1921 in Nebraska and was returned to Van Buren County for burial in December, 1921.
