| (First?) Wife of Jonathan C. Curtis. Mary Jackson and Jonathan moved to Van Buren County from Jackson County, Tennessee. They appear on the 1860 and 1870 cenus in Van Buren County. He was shot and killed some time before 1879 when Mary remarried. Mary Jackson Curtis died in in 1917 and is buried at Quitman Cemetery. She was the widow of B. F. Cargile at the time of her death.
