This will not include "Queries".
If you have not searched Google Books for you ancestors, especially in the pre 1880 time you might want to try it. Go to Google Books and in the search box put the surname or the full name in with "" around the full name. You may have to hunt a little for exactly what you might find but I have found several of my ancestors with good information there.....mine mostly in the 1700's but there is lots more there.

I updated Butter Creek Cemetery. Added a link to off site, shows the only and new David McAlister Grave Stone.
Update on the new search engine. Yes it is working fine, but is only returning search results that Googles Spider Bots already archived. My latest additions (like the photos submitted by Jo Ann B. a few days ago) are not as yet being returned via a search. I am still researching the Web Tools on google. I tried to get it to "index" the whole web page, but I have no reports on our VBC Google Account that this has been done. I do know, in their TOS, if we use google, no other search engines may be used and I think there are one or two, on the Obits page etc.. Not sure if this is the reason I can not get it to re-index the entire site. (Index or indexing = spider bots crawling every page and following every link on every page, these are archived by google and thus when someone searches on the VBC site, it comes right up in the results.) Google Bots spider just about every page on the Internet. Obviously, I Will keep working on this.
also I seemed to have solved the IE Explorer problem I did have, I had to use a different code for the search engine, is all.
Opps, updated the Queries page(s), we now have 2008 archived. Sorry about that. Also removed spam from the quest book.

We’ve been experiencing a lot of problems with the old (free to use) "Freefind dot com" search engine. It dropped over a thousand pages per the reports I receive every other day. I tried Atomz dot com, and that reported this web site WAS TOO LARGE and would only spider (web bot crawler) a portion unless I paid a fee. These are the free versions. (We have in excess of 3,400 pages) I am afraid the Free stuff is getting less and less. So I am experimenting with Google.
I myself have problems with Internet Explorer and this new google search engine, (This has been fixed) .
After reading this, just hit your back button to return to the Main Page
I think, you will all like this much more powerful search engine.

June 22, Added bio info on William Thomas Bradford and his wives on the Eglantine Cemetery page.
Also a while ago, I added another photo, William Jefferson Davis Cullum and Martha M. Gooden Cullum, of Choctaw,Van Buren County, AR. Submitted by W. Ray Cullum. I think this makes four photos we have of W.J.D. Cullum. Use the search box on main page.
Amended the Doctors story, added a note from Joann which is interesting!
"Dennis, My mother seemed to have saved the articles I have sent you. She seemed to have saved a lot of old articles. But Old Dr Hall delivered her, delivered me and doctored my oldest daughter Linda. Mom's family lived at his old house at Eglantine at one time, I think that is where my sisiter Laverne was born and my uncle Howard Lee Potter was born there."

We are in need of more Wills and Family Bible records. If you have any you could share we would appreciate it.
I have posted A "Very" Rough draft of info in a Pope Co. abstract. There was so much really good genealogy info in it. It was from just a city lot and house in the present time. Even if it's only for a house and lot....the old information in it will go back to a much larger parcel of land all the way to the original land grant owner. Please look and see if you have one from VB Co. that you might want to share the 1800's information from. You can either type the info into an e-mail or just scan it and send it to me and I'll type it.
