New members are very welcome.

The Mid-Richmond Historical Society aims to represent the villages of Coraki, Woodburn, Evans Head, Broadwater and the surrounding districts. Memorabilia of the area is displayed and preserved. Mid-Richmond history is being researched and published.

Some highlights of the display are as follows:

1. The Woodburn Shire Council meeting room contains the Shire Boards, early photographs of the four villages and World War I and II Honour Boards from around the district.

2. The River Room has a series of wonderful photographs showing the part played by the river in the development of the Mid-Richmond area.

3. Other rooms in the museum house wartime memorabilia, kitchen and laundry items, family photos and many other items of interest.

4. The machinery shed contains a collection of horse drawn implements and other equipment from earlier times.

 

The museum also has extensive files, fully indexed for use in research, family histories, a microfiche and microfilm reader, photocopier, computer and facilities for taking and processing black & white photographs.
