The Coroner has dispensed with an inquest, as the circumstances pointed to the fact that death was purely accidental."
From The Moora Herald and Midland Districts Advocate newspaper, Friday 12 May 1922: "Three Springs Notes - Mrs. Batty, wife of Mr. Batty, of Arrino, was killed last Saturday through bring thrown from a spring cart. How the accident happened is not known, as she was not found for some hours."

MAYRHOFER [P2] The doctor said he had pneumonia and there was nothing that could be done, and also no point in him going into hospital [P2] His father travelled to Yandanooka and brought his aunt (his father's sister-in-law), who was a trained nurse, back to Arrino [P2] Under the doctor's instructions she gave him injections to sedate him, and he died four days later [P2] Died 7 July 1927; buried Arrino Cemetery, Arrino [24]

Dee passed to her last rest at the Three Springs Hospital on Tuesday last after a very brief illness. The deceased lady was 74 years of age and in addition to her husband who is survived by an adult family of four sons and four daughters, One of her sons (Mr Albert Dee) was in hospital at Three Springs at the same time as his mother. The funeral took place at the Three Springs Cemetery on Wednesday last, the Rev. Father M. Lynch conducting the ceremony at the graveside."
