The City of Holroyd lies half way between Sydney and the Blue Mountains, about 20 kilometres west of Sydney. It covers an area of 39.9 square kilometres and takes in the suburbs of Girraween, Greystanes, Guildford, Holroyd, Mays Hill, Merrylands, Pendle Hill, Prospect, Smithfield, Toongabbie, Wentworthville, Westmead, Woodpark and Yennora, as well as parts of Parramatta, Granville and Fairfield. The city has a population of about 82,500.
