Over the years the Illawarra Family History Group has built up a
considerable library collection. These resources are housed in the Reference
Section, Wollongong City Library, Burelli Street, Wollongong. Most items are on
open access although some are available only to members. Users are encouraged to
join the group as we rely on members support to maintain and add to our
collection.
RESEARCH FEES
MEMBERS
$7.00 per first hour or part thereof and then $15.00 per hour or part thereof researched.
NON-MEMBERS $15.00 per hour or part thereof
researched.
CONDITIONS OF ENQUIRES If
instructions are not followed, the email will be ignored.
To initiate your research please
send all the information you can, such as full names, event dates (birth,
marriage, death and those which are important to your inquiry), addresses etc.
and any other relevant information to assist us, together with a stamped self
addressed business size envelope and cheque or Money Order payable to the
Illawarra Family History Group for the first hour to:

Library Assistants
Volunteer Library Assistants are present in the Library Wednesday and Friday
mornings.
So bring along your queries and get some help in finding some answers.
Please note: 1. Books and microfiche which are not locked in the cupboards
or filing cabnets will be available during all normal library hours 2.
Wednesday and Fridays will still be only days that "helpers" will be
on duty to help with research. 3. It will be necessary to bring your IFHG
member card with you to show to the librarian on duty to get the locked
cupboards and filing cabinents. Locked cupboards and filing cabinets MUST NOT be
left unlocked while doing research. 4. The IFHG computer is for the use of
IFHG members only. It will be available to non-members for a fee and use under
supervision. 5. The only floppy disks to be used are those supplied by IFHG at
$1 per disk for members and $2 for non-members. 6. DO NOT ASK THE LIBRARY
STAFF FOR HELP ON ANY COMPUTER PROBLEMS.
