Looking for info. on SCHMELZER family from Austria. Anthony J. Schmelzer came with his parents and 2 brothers and a sister to Detroit, MI. He was Anthony J. Schmelzer, b. Jan 1899. He said that when he visited his home town in his later years, it had been wiped out. What does that mean? I am looking for any information on the HARRINGER family. My great grandfather was Hugo ( Spitzname) or Matthau Harringer. He married Maria Politski in 1913 in the USA. Both Maria and Hugo were from Salzburg. It looks like on the city map that there is a street called J. Haringer Strasse. I am wondering if possibly, this may have been named after this family. Families last name is Olpere, however I have found a mountain range in Austria named the OLPERER and a surname of OLPEREGLICK. We always though our Grandfather was from Italy but had no luck with the name Olpere in Italian Geneology. Is it possible that he was from Austria and his family migrated to Italy during the war?

Looking for information on Josef Drost who immigrated from Austria and settled in the Barron County Wisconsin, probably 1880-1885. He bought a 160 acres of land in 1885. Also, a Franz Drost immigrated in 1888 with his grandson Joseph.

Am looking for information on a Fransicus (don't know if spelling is correct) SAVALA who was born on March 4, 1885 in Galicia, Austria. He came to the United States about 1909-1910.
