Coconino Chapter
Flagstaff, Arizona

National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution

Welcome!

Coconino Chapter was organized in Flagstaff in 1927, as Arizona's fourth DAR chapter. We are celebrating our chapter's 80th birthday in June.

Coconino Chapter meets September-May. Our meetings are held at 11:30 am on the 3rd Thursday of odd numbered months at a local restaurant. In even numbered months we meet on Saturdays at individual homes. Contact cocodar1@yahoo.com for further info.

What do we do?

As a chapter, we participate in a number of charitable activities within the community, fulfilling DAR's objectives of preserving history, supporting education, and encouraging patriotism.

Some of our recent activities include:

  • Providing seasonal decorations for the VA Clinic at Bellemont, AZ;
  • Adopting a section of I-17 for trash clean up;
  • Collecting and distributing childrens' books to the local health clinic and area doctors' offices; and
  • Promoting the existence of the historic McCormick Rose, propagated by Northern Arizona University's Research Greenhouse.

How can I join?

E-mail Mary Brown at cocodar1@yahoo.com for information on joining DAR.
