The NSDAR is a non-profit, non-political international women's service organization, dedicated to preserving history, promoting patriotic endeavor, and supporting education.  Membership in the NSDAR is open to any woman over the age of 18 who can trace her bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American Independence.  Applicants must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, and death. This must include the applicant's birth certificate naming her parents.

Members aged 18 to 35 are Junior Members.  Junior members are the future of DAR. A very important function of a Junior member is that of a page at the various ASDAR state meetings and convention as well as NSDAR Continental Congress.

The NSDAR does not discriminate on the basis of race or creed. Charles Trumbull Hayden Chapter has many members ready to help you with your genealogical research. Please contact our Chapter Registrar Edna Fink for more information.

Meetings begin at 10:45 a.m. unless otherwise noted. The business meeting is first, followed by the guest speaker and lunch. Members, prospective members, and their guests are welcome. If you are interested in attending a meeting, but are not a member of DAR, please contact the Chapter Registrar Edna Fink in advance. Thank you.

Lineage Workshops
Workshops are held to help prospective members organize, research, and file their papers with the National Society. They are scheduled periodically throughout the year. Those interested in starting research should prepare a pedigree chart as completely as they are able. Names, birthdates, and places should be listed on a separate paper for each couple on the chart. Those who have a relative who is or was a DAR member are asked to bring their full names, national numbers, and application papers, if available.
Contact Edna Fink for more information.
Many of our members have spouses who belong to SAR- Sons of the American Revolution. If you would like more information on this organization visit their website.
