Grand Canyon Chapter was organized September 24, 1983, in Scottsdale, Arizona. With a famous name, Grand Canyon, this chapter has always been destined for success. Our charter was signed by 42 members and as of this date, August 2008, we have over 100 members with several applications pending. Our membership encompasses all age groups. We have several Junior members (18-36) through many active seniors, from housewives and professional working women to retirees. This diverse age group has many ideas to offer which is precisely what makes this chapter so successful. With so many projects and programs available there is no doubt that something will capture your interest. The American History Essay Contest for school children, the Federal Naturalization Ceremony, The Flag Day Luncheon, Literacy and Learning Programs, Veteran projects at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center, support projects for our troops, and conservation programs are just a few of the programs we offer. There is certainly an area of interest for everyone! Our Grand Canyon Chapter is very active on all levels. We have members who have served, in various State and National positions. Patti Godber and Karen Paulsen are both Honorary State Regents. We are so very proud of our great history!
