We are most grateful to have recently acquired the personal reference collection of Clayton R. Cox. It was generously donated by his daughter, Betty Cox, of Sierra Vista, AZ. Clayton Cox was a noted genealogist from Kentucky, former president of the Kentucky Genealogy Society, and was the editor and publisher of "The East Kentuckian", the quarterly publication of the Kentucky Genealogy Society. He authored of a number of books, including the much sought after three volume set of "Appalachia Crossroads", a genealogy of the Caudill families of Kentucky. These books are noted as new listings 18 and 27 August 2009 in our Book Collection.

Next monthly meeting is at St. Francis in the Valley Episcopal Church, 600 S. La Cañada Drive, Green Valley, 1-3 PM Thursday 10 December 2009. (Note: This is the second Thursday of the month!)
