NAGS Past President Barbara Googe presented Arizona Pioneer Descendant Certificates at the November 2000 meeting to Margaret Gearldine Lee and her mother Margaret Jane Thompson Stilson.   Their pioneer ancestors were John James Thompson and Margaret Parlee James.

The Arizona Pioneer Descendant certificate honors direct descendants of pioneers who lived in the geographical area of what is now the state of Arizona prior to statehood, February 14, 1912. Certificates are awarded to a descendant who submits evidence acceptable to AzGAB of: Ancestor's residence in the area and the applicant's relationship to the ancestor.  For more information go to: http://www.azgab.org/pioneer_certificate.htm
