What is the DAR?
How can I get more information about Saguaro Chapter?
The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a lineage society that is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to patriotism, historic preservation, and education.
Who is eligible to join?
Any woman is eligible for membership who is no less than eighteen years of age
and can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving
American independence. She must provide documentation for each statement of
birth, marriage, and death.
How can I find out if a specific relative of mine has already been recognized by the DAR as a Revolutionary Patriot?
The National Society of the DAR offers a Free look up service for people trying to find out if an ancestor is already recognized by the DAR as a Revolutionary Patriot. If your family has a story about "Gr. Gr. Gr. Grandpa" fighting in the Revolutionary War, the DAR will check to see if someone has already proved his service as a Revolutionary Patriot.
Web hyperlinks to non-DAR sites are not the responsibility of the NSDAR, the state organizations, or individual DAR chapters.
