Sedona Genealogy Club

Welcome to the Sedona Genealogy Club web site!  The Sedona Genealogy Club was organized in November 1987, under the direction of Marjorie Elson, Bill Lundy and Betty Barbour. Within a year it had grown to a membership of 48 persons from Sedona, Cottonwood, Cornville and Rimrock.

The purpose for organizing the club, according to a news article published on the club's first anniversary, was "to bring together people who are interested in searching their family roots as a hobby."

Originally the club met at various locations, but by May, 1988, members began meeting at the Sedona Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located on Mormon Hill Road in Sedona, and since then, that has been the regular meeting place.

So, you’ll still find us there on the 4th Monday of every month except for the months of June, July, August and December when no meeting is held.  If you have a desire to reflect on the past and dig around your family roots, come join us!  Membership is open to all!!
