As requested by our members, we have organized the links to other web sites into two major categories: a. known high quality genealogy sites and b. intersting sites.  We have also provided, for SGG members, a location where they can post questions and receive answers from other SGG members under the heading "Queries" tab on the left side of the web page.

We will continue to add new information to the site on a regular basis so if you have interesting sites that you have checked out, needs access to the index of club members books, periodicals or CDs, or questions other members can help you with, please go to the SGG Web Site to get your answers or contribute your knowledge.

Librarian:

Librarian, Nancy Weinrich has continued to keep our database of genealogical materials (CD's, books, periodicals, etc.) up-to-date so that our members can review and request use of the materials from the owners.  New materials was donated to our files which now includes over 100 CDs along with a significant amount of printed material.  Nancy will be providing an updated list including the new material which will be stored in our new file cabinet space in the computer room that can be locked. Club members can access the material by asking Pat, Buzz, Nancy or the front desk for the key.  Please make sure that all materials remain in the cabinet after use on-site.

Monthly Topic of Interest:

Pat gave an interesting presentation at our meeting on September 26, 2006 on searching for your Irish Ancestors.  He provided a number of sources for club members to research to find their own family members.  These sites are attached in the links section of the web site in case you were unable to attend the meeting.

On Thursday,Oct.26th at 3:30 at the Village Center. Al Seames will be giving a presentation on maps in genealogical research
