In the Dominion Electoral District of Cariboo, Lillooet and Provincial of Lillooet, is situated on the left bank of the Fraser River, about ninety miles from Clinton and on the direct route to Barkerville.  Mail is carried weekly by stage from  Ashcroft.   The nearest railroad station, telegraph and express office in Clinton, banking point is Kamloops.  Fare from Ashcroft, $15, change stages at Clinton.
