Quesnel: a post office and town on the Cariboo Road, 220 miles north of Ashcroft, on the C.P.Ry., and 100 miles south of Prince George, on the G.T.P.Ry.  It is served by stage from both points, by the Cariboo Auto road and by local Fraser River steamers.   Quesnel is at the the junction of the Quesnel and Fraser rivers, 80 miles north of 150-Mile House, and distributing point for the extensive Cariboo district.  Office of Provincial Government Agent, assessor and Collector Barkerville district, Land commissioner Cariboo Land Recording District, Provincial Police Constable, Sub-Recorder Cariboo and Quesnel Mining Divisions.  Has Dominion Government telegraph office.   Has Anglican, Presbyterian and Roman Catholic churches and public schools.   population 500.  Local resources: Mining and mixed farming.
