Quesnel Forks: a post office and settlement at the junction of North and South Forks of Quesnel River, 56 miles northeast of 150 Mile House, 180 miles north of Ashcroft, and 147 miles north of Clinton, in Cariboo Provincial Electoral District, reached by stage.   Has office of Sub-recorder Quesnel  Mining Division and Dominion Government   telegraph.  Quesnel Forks is the gateway to Quesnel Lake (100 miles long) Clearwater and Cariboo Lakes and famous Swamp River Meadows and is the outfitting point for a district which has produced millions of dollars in gold.  Outside of one or two white families all residents are Chinese fur trappers.  Local resources: Mining and ranching.  Opportunities open to prospectors, hydraulic miners, dredge operators, etc.  Gold quartz in abundance.
