The Williams' Lake district comprises Williams' Lake, 150-Mile House, Soda Creek and Chilcotin.  Its characteristic is rolling grass and farming lands.  Quite a number of new names have been added to the list in this section.  It supplies the flour beef, bacon and vegetables for the mining region.  some of the most extensive and well-appointed farms in the province are in this district.  There is a school at the 150-Mile House and the Roman Catholic Mission have one at Williams' Lake with an attendance of about forty.  The stage passes to Barkerville and to Ashcroft each way weekly, carrying the mail.  A well kept hotel and store at the 150 mile, kept by Veith & Borland, supplies travelers and others with what they require.
