ABOUT US

The Cranbrook Genealogy Interest Group meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Family History Centre of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints  2210  Second  Street  North,  Cranbrook,
 BC.



The purposes of our group are:

• to promote an interest in genealogy
• to share our expertise with beginning genealogists
• to assist or sponsor genealogy workshops and seminars
• to purchase genealogy magazines for the local public library
• to add to and maintain local newspaper microfilm reels
• to index local cemeteries
  
• to index births, deaths and marriages in local newspapers
• to encourage the maintenance and upkeep of local cemeteries
