On November 5th 2002 Campbell River Genealogy Club became the Campbell River Genealogy Society.
The Purposes of Our Society Are:
- to promote the study of genealogy and genealogical research
- to encourage accurate, ethical, and thorough research principles and techniques
- to maintain a library for the collection and preservation of information and artifacts pertaining to genealogy and local history
- to raise funds as may be needed for the operation of the society and its library
- to publish a regular newsletter containing genealogical and historical information [The Treehouse]
- to establish friendly relations with other organizations and genealogical societies for the exchange of ideas, information and the promotion of common interests
- to promote workshops, seminars and similar learning situations pertaining to genealogical research that may be useful to members and others in the community
The Campbell River Genealogy Society thanks Playtime Community Gaming Centre in Campbell River and its patrons, and acknowledges funding assistance from the Province of British Columbia.
Gaming funds are used to help support our library.
