Coreen Clarkson presentation:

Coreen will share stories and heirlooms from Annie Aitken, known by many as Granny Aitkin the Midwife, who lived in the mining town of Bevan near Cumberland.

Thursday 3rd March
Heather McEdie presentation:

Travel with Heather on the journey of the Gibson family from the US through the ages to Gibsons Landing on the Sunshine Coast using records, DNA and heirlooms. Included a 195 year old vase made from broken pieces of family china.

All Day Spring Seminar
Looking for Family in all the Right Places
with Joyce Young

The Campbell River Genealogy Society is pleased to welcome back Joyce Young to the March seminar. Researcher and Vice-president of Programs with the Vernon and District Family History Society, Joyce inspired the 2013 seminar with her innovative research ideas. This time she will show participants how to dig even deeper into their families.
Topics include: An update of Familysearch.org; A case study searching for living family members; Adding history to your family history; and The things you can learn from newspapers.

Cost $50 with lunch available for an additional $10
