Our First Nations Heritage
Candy-Lea Chickite has a special interest in preserving our First Nations' Heritage. That interest has taken her down many paths including the Legacy of Sook Sias. That journey has led Candy-Lea to develope The BC Penitentiary Cemetery Website dedicated to the collection and preservation of information about those who are buried there.
Her current project brings Candy-Lea together with local First Nations Elders to extract local information from the Canadian 1911 Census.
For more information about Sook Sias and the 1911 Census Project contact Candy-Lea .
