LDS Family History Library

The Family History Library of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah, holds microfilm copies of genealogical records from many countries. Those reels can be borrowed through their Family History Centers™ located worldwide.  Here in the Okanagan-Similkameen they are located:

The Family History Library has assigned its own reel numbers to their copies of National Archives of Canada microfilm, such as our census returns and passenger lists. You will have to consult the Family History Library Catalogue to identify the correct LDS reel number.

You can search many of the LDS Family History Library databases on their Family Search web site.
