Dates Specified in the Bylaws

1 January	New officers take office.
January meeting	With the advice and consent of the Board, the President appoints a Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, Journal Editor, and Newsletter Editor.
1 May	Last day for Board to appoint Nominating Committee of at least three BIFHS–USA members.
31 July	Last day for Nominating Committee to nominate candidates for the November election.
September	Nominations for positions published in the newsletter; nominations from the floor (with seconds) accepted at the general meeting.
15 October	Last day for additional nominations to be made in writing (each endorsed by two Society members).
October meeting	Nominations accepted from the floor (with seconds).
At least two weeks before Annual Meeting	Mail ballot and notice of Annual Meeting.
November	Annual Meeting, normally the 4th Sunday.
31 December	Retiring officers' last day in office.
Regular meetings	Day, time, and place to be determined by the Board of Directors.
