Salt Lake City research trip
25 January through 1 February 2012
British Isles Family History Society – USA members and guest will return to Salt Lake City for a full week of genealogy research at the Family History Library from Wednesday, 25 January through Wednesday, 1 February 2012. Nancy Ellen Carlberg, a professional genealogist who is planning the trip, will be there to provide suggestions for your next research step and strategies for overcoming brick walls. Nancy is a Past President and the current Colonial Study Group Leader of the British Isles Family History Society - USA. She has been a professional genealogist for more than thirty years, and worked with Alex Haley researching the mini-series Roots II and Queen, and the TV program Palmerstown USA. She is the author of 69 books.
Start preparing for the trip now. Be sure to arrange and sort your research and complete your family group sheets so that Nancy can help you.We will stay at the Salt Lake City Plaza Hotel that is next to the Library. The hotel costs:
$750 for one persons staying alone in a
$450 each for two people sharing a room
$300 each for three or more people sharing a room
Nancy planned the trip to end in time for the RootsTech 2012 Conference that will immediately follow on 2 to 4 February. You can extend your visit to Salt Lake City by a couple of days and enjoy the conference. It will be a spectacular way to conclude a week of genealogy research success. Watch the RootsTech website for conference updates, http://rootstech.familysearch.org/. The hotel and other costs of the conference are not included in the fee schedule given above. RootsTech 2012 is a separate event, and you must make you own arrangements.
