Scottish Testaments
Finding the testament. Locate the index for the commissary court that covered the area where your ancestor lived. The index will give you the name and designation of the testator and the date of confirmation. Using the film numbers in the table below, check the Family History Library Catalog to find the film that includes the date from the index. The entries on each film are usually in chronological order, but look to see if there is an index at the beginning or end of the film to find the entry more quickly.
