Att a Councill holden by adjournment at the House of his Excellency the Governor on
Wednesday the 8th day of October 1740.

The bill for preventing law-suits being a third time read it passed the Councill and was ordered to be laid before the House of Assembly for their assent which was accordingly done by the Secretary.
Three members of the Assembly attending present His Excellency in Councill the Bill for preventing Law-Suits passd by their House for his Excellcy assent to which he asented.
Adjourned to the afternoon.
