H M Steamer, Rhadamanthus, commander Evans, arrived yesteerday Am in 11 days from Jamaica.
The President, with Admiral Sir George Cockburn would leave for Bermuda in a day or two after the Rhadamanthus.
The Dee (steamer), Wasp, Serpent and Thunder were at Port Royal.
The flamer, steam packet, arrived, and sailed in company of Rhadamanthus for St Thomas.
The Cruiser and Racer, 18 guns had each taken a slaver.
Lt Bolton, late of HM schooner Nimble, officers and crew tried by court martial for loss of vessel and acquitted.
Commander Sweney, of President, has been appointed to the Serpent, vice Symonds, invalided. Lt Currie to be acting commander of the President.
Demerara papers brought by the Rob Roy, Capt. Harvey, which arrived Sat Last.
The schooner General Grant, Dunscomb, arrived Sat Last, 11 days from Turks Island, brought the New Providence papers.
Brig Lottery arrived Friday last.

Friday last, Anniversary meeting of the Bermuda Auxiliary British & Foreign Bible Society held athte town hall in Hamilton; Worshipful Richard Darrell, Mayor of Hamilton gave a speech, "expressed the deep regret he felt for the loss which the Auxiliary sustained in the removal from the Colony of the Hon J C Esten, our late Chief Justice, who for many years filled the office of President of the Institution", proposed that the Hon Thomas Butterfield, Chief Justice, be elected President. Also present Rev Robert Hoare, Hon Stowe Wood, Rev J Barry, A Gosling esq, R M Higgs, Mr T Smith, J J Outerbridge esq, Josiah Dickinson esq, Thomas A Darrell esq.

Arrival of the Emily, mailboat, from Halifax.

City election closed yesterday, with a considerable majority in favour of Messrs Wood, Pattison, Crawford, and Grote.
