"1785-1885 Nashwaak Families." Nashwaak Bicentennial Association; 1986. This companion volume to And the River Rolled On (1984) is a listing of the early settlers of the Nashwaak River valley starting at the end of the American Revolutionary War and continuing through several generations. Many of these early settlers and their progeny emigrated to New England, especially Maine, in the mid 1800s. SH6

"Early Marriage Records of New Brunswick." B. Wood-Holt 1986. This book includes only dates between 1784-1839.PH7

"The Miramichi: A Study of the New Brunswick River and the People Who Lived Along It." Esther Clark Wright; The Tribune Press; 1944. This book describes the geography, history, and people who settled in the Miramichi River Valley, from Richard Denys in 1688 to the late 1860s. There is no index, but I have compiled one to facilitate lookups. SH6

"The New Brunswick Militia Commissioned Officer's List 1787-1867." Facey-Crowrher, David R.; Capital Free Press, 1984. Lists ONLY Officers. Not indexed by surname, so need at least County and if possible Regiment name. This is a list of NB MILITIA, NOT A LIST OF REVOLUTIONARY WAR LOYALISTS WHO SETTLED IN NEW BRUNSWICK, although many persons probably were Loyalists. JP5

"Over the Portage - Early History of the Upper Miramichi, Revised Edition." William MacKinnon; New Ireland Press: Fredericton, New Brunswick; 2000. This study includes an overview of the region from 1790-1851 and describes the lives of the settlers and their living conditions. It focuses on the families of the settlers and the demographics of the region, including the forces that caused many to emigrate to the United States. SH6

Supplements include: 1888-1904 and 1905-1919. I will lookup in the Index for Surname, Firstname, Pg., Where died, date/death, Age, Cause, where born. (these are the items listed in the Index) In some cases there may not be something for an item but I will provide what there is listed. There are two supplements included in case a death was registered many years after it occurred, some are registered twice and some not at all. P12

"The Mourne Moores In New Brunswick, 1833-1983." by Donna Lee Moore Smith, copyright 1983. The descendants of brothers Charles and William Moore, who emigrated to Scotch Lake, York Co., New Brunswick in 1833. RO3

When "And the River Rolled On" was published in 1984, it was suggested that a companion book listing the names of the early settlers would provide valuable information for anyone researching family connections in the Valley. - taken from the preface to the book. Lists families that settled in this area after Revolutionary War. Many are Loyalists and their faimilies who stayed in the area. NMG
