Merrick from Connecticut...Jonathan Merrick. His family
moved to New Jersey where he met and married an Ursula
Fairchild. Among their children was a Jeremiah Merrick who married
a Rebecca COOPER. Among their children born in Ohio,
was a Lewis Merrick, who married a Marie or Maria WHITE, and among their
children was Dennis LeRoy Merrick who married a Susan E. (Eastman) from
Iowa.
Among their children was my Maternal G-Grandmother, Marie Marie
Merrick who married a Thomas William Arterberry, and they had my
Grandmother,
Carrie Mae (Arterberry) who married Arthur Burnett VARNER. They had my
mother,
Betty Lou (Varner) MASSEY.
On my father's side: I am looking for a Thomas RANNALS,
born on Jan. 22, 1853 in Pittsburg, Pa. Who were his parents?
He was 18 months old when living in Ohio, his parents
left him with John and Eliza WADDLE. Thomas's unknown
parents died from influenza either on the way to Iowa or after
arriving. In 1857. the WADDLES and Thomas moved to Iowa.
Who were his parents?
My father's G-G-grandfather was a Daniel Massey who
married Angeline or Angelina HAYNES. This was in Leeds Co., Ontario,
Canada.

books is something that just makes so much sense, but individuals may be
unwilling to do so as they fear being swamped. How about increasing the
usefulness of the list by requiring a willingness to share BEFORE you can
utilize the services of other book holders. For some, taht may make a
difference. I intend to review my list of directories to see what I have
that may be useful to others...because I love to buy books in any case.

I am looking for my ggrandparents Israel & Catherine Hass Mayberry m. Mar
27, 1827 in Hampshire Co., Va. They produced five children named on the
1850 Census of that county living with their grandparents Peter & Mary
Baer Hass, my ggrandpa Francis aka Frank Mayberry living in the household
of Susan Taylor, his father Israel was living in the household of John &
Sarah Cooper. I would like to know what happened to him after the 1850
Census, I would think he would have been in maybe Fredericktown,Va, or
Hagerstown, MD. I have found all except him and his son Thomas and the
mother Catherine Hass Mayberry. All help is highly appreciated. The
children's names were Mary, Thomas, Peter, Francis aka Frank, and Sarah.
