Frederick Lewis Weis, Clearfield Company (reprinted from the Genealogical Publishing Co, Inc, 1978) reprint date 1995. An Alphabetical listing of hundreds of early members of the Clergy. Very helpful if a person is trying to trace the "footsteps" of a circuit rider or early minister. List by years each church served as well a location. The people in this book are from the years 1628-1776. In many cases it list the parents names and date/place of birth as well as date and place of death. All of the churches that this minister was associated with are listed by the year. There is no mention of a wife and family however. SW5

This is the genealogy of Elder John Crandall, an early settler of Newport and Westerly, RI and carries down into the early 1900s. The Crandalls married into many other early families, particularly those of the SDB faith. Common allied names include Babcock, Burdick, Hubbard, Witter, Davis, Potter, Maxson and Clarke. DP9

Also contained in this publication are "RI Historical Tracts", (began 1877, discontinued in 1896), "Newport Historical Magazine", later retitled "The RI Historical Magazine",(began 1880, discontinued in 1887) , and "The Narragansett Historical Register", (began 1882, discontinued in April, 1891). Extensive coverage of the following Rhode Island Families: Cross, Greene, Kenyon, Lewis, Perry, and Segar, with limted coverage of 36 other families, including: Browning and Hoxsie. "Arnold's Vital Records of Washington County, Rhode Island to 1850." James Arnold; Narragansett Historical Publishing Company, 1894. Early vital records (1636-1850) from the towns of Westerly, Richmond, Hopkinton, Charlestown, Exeter, North Kingstown, South Kingstown. Good for births and marriages but deaths are scant. Note that the records of North Kingstown from that era were seriously damaged or in some cases, lost, by fire. These records go only until 1850 with very few exceptions. Note that these are birth, death and marriages ONLY - there are no family or town histories, maps, stories or other types of information. I am not able to send hard copies and I will NOT respond to requests for "everyone by the name of....." Please be as specfic as possible, i.e. "Please look for the marriage date of Edward Crandall and Sarah Kenyon" or "can you check for the parents of Robert Potter, born 1702?" DP9
