This informative family history begins in 1060 AD in The Netherlands with about 12 generations before the immigration of Claes Corneliussen van Kat to Nieuw Amsterdam in 1662. --- 3 vol; 300 pages; indexed; handtyped on onionskin paper it took 40 years to compile. --- Volume One follows the oldest son, Cornelius van Kat, Volume Two follows Johanne van Kat, and Volume Three follows David van Kat. There are approximately 4 - 5,000 persons mentioned. Many sources and documents are credited as well as genealogists who assisted in the research. Although the index is not totally accurate nor complete, I will attempt to find a given family within the genealogy. I must have all known names, dates, and locations as far back as possible to do a thorough search. If I can place a descendant within this work I will send the relevant data to the family via a mutually agreed upon means. I cannot copy the entire work. CVC
