WELCOME FROM OUR CHAPTER REGENT
The Chico Chapter, DAR, is one of over 100 chapters in California. CSSDAR
(California State Society Daughters of the American Revolution) has a
statewide membership exceeding 8,000 women. Our local Chico
Chapter has an active membership of more than 70 women.
Chapter Daughters, as individuals and through our
chapters, are active in our communities, our states, and our
nation. Our society is made up of women of all ages and from many
walks of life: professionals, homemakers, and retirees who are
working together to advance the objectives of the NSDAR
(National Society of the Daughters of the American
Revolution). DAR is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's
service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving
American history, and securing America's future through better
education for children. We invite you to take a video tour of Today's DAR on YouTube.
Chico Daughters look forward to
welcoming potential new members to join NSDAR. We love genealogy
and can provide assistance in determining acceptable proof
documentation as you trace your ancestry to fill out your DAR
application form. You may attend our meetings as our guest while you
are still working on your DAR application. Please contact our regent, our registrar, or a current Chico Daughter for more information.
We
hope you are interested in learning more about DAR, the Chico Chapter,
and enjoy your visit to our website. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions, or to find out how you can attend one of our meetings.
