The society booked a group of rooms at the Salt Lake Plaza Hotel which is just around the corner from the Family History Library, and overlooks historic Temple Square.
The Family History Library is the largest library dedicated to genealogical research in the world. Records available are from the United States, Canada, the British Isles, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. The Library is staffed with friendly and knowledgeable professionals and trained volunteers. Free classes on a variety of topics are available throughout the day.

CVGS Metrolink Trips to the Los Angeles Public Library
Metrolink trips to the Los Angeles Public Library led by Gayle Soles are arranged by request. Trains currently run Monday through Friday with round trip fares of $7.75 for seniors [65+] and $14.25 regular as of January 2010. The #110 train leaves Simi Valley Station at 8:39am with return arrival at 6:40pm on the #119 train. Transportation from Union Station to the Library will be on the DASH bus and/or Red Line Subway.
This schedule makes arrival at the library for its 10:00 A.M. opening and leaves the library at 5:00 P.M. Lunch can be taken along or purchased at two restaurants in the library or several across the street. For more information, call Gayle at her CVGS directory number or send email to the
