Imagine a week of sticking with a research streak until it pays off, hanging out with knowledgeable sharing friends who help you over some of your brick walls, attending free classes on specific topics, access to professional librarians and volunteer experts, 9 1/2 to 13 1/2 hours a day with the world's largest collection of genealogical materials, no cooking or cleaning house ... can you handle this much fun?
This year’s trip is scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, through Saturday, February 28. You can stay as many or as few of those dates as you wish, but if you stay for five nights they’ll give you a sixth night FREE (stay ten nights and the eleventh and twelfth nights are FREE). Room rates for this year are $95.77 for single/couple, $107.04 for triple, and $118.31 for quad. These rates include the tax. A rollaway bed is $10 per day. Parking is $5 per day. Airport shuttle is free, unless 10 or more people arrive at the same time. (In this case, shuttle charge is $10 round trip, which includes luggage handling of up to two bags per person. Additional bags are $3 round trip.) If applicable, shuttle charges will be added to your hotel bill.

Prepaid 1st night room charge by personal check made out to CVGS by December 17. Send checks to Donna McCullough at the address in the CVGS Directory or bring them to our Holiday Potluck on the 16th.

If you are flying, arrival and departure flight information, including flight numbers, arrival/departure time, and name of airline.

CVGS Metrolink Trips to the Los Angeles Public Library
Metrolink trips to the Los Angeles Public Library led by Gayle Soles are arranged by request. Trains currently run Monday through Friday with round trip fares of $6.75 for seniors [65+] and $13.25 regular. The #110 train leaves Simi Valley Station at 8:39am with return arrival at 6:40pm on the #119 train. Transportation from Union Station to the Library will be on the DASH bus and/or Red Line Subway.
This schedule makes arrival at the library for its 10:00 A.M. opening and leaves the library at 5:00 P.M. Lunch can be taken along or purchased at two restaurants in the library or several across the street. For more information, call Gayle at her CVGS directory number or send email to the
