Ahnentafels
A new database of Society members and past member pedigree charts (Ahnentafels) has been added to our web site. Those listed in these pedigree charts do not include living persons and the owner is identified only by a number to preserve identity. These are five or more generation pedigree charts and are searchable through an alphabetized index (click here). There will be a contact address for those interested.
Genealogy Links
The Society has found numerous Internet Links (click here) to sites that are of particular interest to those working on various Genealogy projects, especially for the Southern California and San Diego County area.

If you know of other sites which could be of interest to our member and others please E-mail the information to the Webmaster listed below.
Genealogy Forms
The Society has collected and makes available a handy set of blank genealogy Forms (click here). to assist you when working on your various Genealogy projects.

You can download and print out these blank forms for use while gathering and organizing genealogy data. You will need a copy of the Adobe Reader installed on your system to print them out.
Research Group
This group tries to help members solve their research problems through discussion and the collective knowledge of the group. The Research Group meets on the second Wednesday of each month in the conference room at the Chula Vista central library.
Computer Group
This group regularly meets for a combination of discussion and hands on experience to assist people in internet research and answer questions on problems they may be having with their computers. The group meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the computer lab at the Chula Vista central library.
Hispanic Research
This is a new resource for us here at the Society. We have recently had a guest speaker, Patricia Diane Godinez, present a wealth of information on how to go about doing Hispanic Genealogy. Patricia is a 30 year veteran of Hispanic and Canadian research and is a volunteer at the Bonita Family History Center. She can be reached at canprin@yahoo.com. She has also provided a list of Microfilms (Click here) that are available for research at the Family History Center.
Library Assistance
Society members are available at the Chula Vista Civic Center main branch on most Mondays and Wednesdays from 12 noon to 2 pm in the Family History section. But be prepared. It is so much easier to make a list at home and go directly to the research that you have listed than to waste time trying to find the books you need when you are on site.
