Civil War Proclamation,
Editor's Note: The Fresno County Board of Supervisors proclaims the days from April 12, 2011 to May 10, 2015 to be the official Sesquicentennial of the Civil War, and enourages all residents of Fresno County to study the Civil War and to commemorate it in whatever way appropriate.

Fort Miller,
       Editor's Note: With the recent resurgence of interest in Fort Miller, and its possible future construction, this article may be of some interest. It is a combination of two articles which were  originally published in the April 1968 and July 1970 issues of the Ash Tree Echo.
