	Post Office, Antelope; lives three miles from that town, and 
fifteen miles from Sacramento; was born in England in 1825; emigrated to the 
United States in 1853, and lived in Utah until 1857; he came to California in 
that year and settled in this county; is now engaged in farming; owns four 
hundred and forty acres of land, worth, with improvements, about $7,000; also 
owns a large ten-horse power grain-thresher. Mr. Aiston has held the office of 
Road Overseer of District No. 4. He was married in 1846 to Miss Mary Johnson, 
also a native of England; they have one child a son. A view of Mr. Aiston's
