Los Angeles County, CA, Biographies This file is part of the California Genealogy & History Archives http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cagha/index.htm HARRISON ALBRIGHT, Los Angeles Born at Shoemakertown (Ogontz), Pa., May 17, 1866, son of Joseph and Louise (Jeannot) Albright. Educated in township schools and at Pierce College of business and Spring Garden Institute, Philadelphia, being awarded several prizes by the latter for excellence in drawing. In April, 1886, established architect's office in that city; remained five years designing residences and Public buildings, and in April, 1891, moved to Charleston, W. Va. In that city until 1905, designing Capitol Annex, Charleston; various buildings of Marshall College, Huntington; Miners' Hospital, Fairmount; Shepherd College, State Normal School, Shepherdstown; Prep. school, State University, Keyser, and several large fire-proof hotels in different states. Came to Los Angeles March 28, 1905, since which designed many reinforced concrete buildings for the A.. T. & S. F. Ry.; hotels in Los Angeles and San Diego; Spreckles Union building, San Diego, and residence and public library. Coronado. Married 1890; three children.
