Page 264 was born in Pennsylvania, in 1818, where he remained till 1840, engaged in farming. For five years worked at his trade, millwright, and then removed to Wisconsin, where he remained till 1849, engaged in wagon-making and bridge-building. In 1850 came to California, and has followed mining, for thirty years. In 1844 married Lurana Adkins, a native of Kentucky, who died in 1852; was married again in 1857; the second wife died in 1874. Mr. Anderson has held the office of Justice of the Peace for twenty-five years. His property is worth about $1000. Post Office, Folsom.
