Sacramento County Biographies THOMAS ANDERSON Transcribed by: Nancy Pratt Melton This file is part of the California Genealogy & History Archives http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cagha/index.htm FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP PAGE 257. lives fourteen miles from Sacramento and half a mile from Franklin; he owns two hundred and eighty-three acres of land; was born in England in 1829; he emigrated to the United States in 1850, and engaged in farming in the State of New York until 1857; in that year he moved to Iowa, and was engaged in farming there until 1866; he then came to California and settled in this county, where he is now farming. He was married in 1856 to Elizabeth Vile, also a native of England, by whom he has had four children a son and a daughter living.
