BRYAN Transcribed by: Nancy Pratt Melton This file is part of the California Genealogy & History Archives http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cagha/index.htm BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP Page 247 Was born in Campbell county, Kentucky, on December 20, 1850; when eight years of age his parents removed to California. His first work was done on a dairy ranch, after which teaming, both with oxen and mules, was followed. In 1864 he attended the Pacific Methodist College at Vacaville, California. After college days he returned to Solano county, and engaged in sheep-raising and wool-growing. Mr. Bryan owns twelve hundred and sixty acres of land, five hundred acres of which is cultivated; the rest is used as pasture for sheep of fine grade. August, 1878, he married Miss Jennie Perry.
