	lives four miles from Elk Grove, his Post Office, and fifteen 
miles from Sacramento; was born in Wisconsin, in 1849, and lived there until 
1872; he came to California in that year, and settled in this county, on his 
present location, where he has lived ever since; he owns two hundred and forty 
acres of land, worth, with improvements, about $4,000. Mr. Budahn was married, 
in 1874, to Miss A. M. Volkamer, a native of Bavaria; they have two boys Arthur 
Louis, born March 8, 1875, and Herold George, born February 21, 1878. A view of
