JAMES BURNS

was born in Ireland in the year 1840, and emigrated to the United States in 
1864, first settling in California, for the last ten years of which he has been 
in this county, and for the last five years on his present farm.  Married, in 
1871, Mary Linehan, by whom he has John, Mary, Julia, Katie, Dennis, and an 
infant.
