This gentleman was born in Jackson county, Iowa, April 27, 1849. He crossed the 
plains with his parents in 1852, locating in Oregon. In 1856 the family went 
from Portland, Oregon, to Plumas county, California on horseback. In 1859 he 
became a resident of Honey Lake valley. Dr. Chamberlin graduated medicine from 
the Homeopathic College of Missouri, at St. Louis, in the spring of 1875. While 
in St. Louis, he married Miss Lizzie Bresnan, January 15, 1873.
