CHAMBERS Transcribed by: Nancy Pratt Melton This file is part of the California Genealogy & History Archives http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cagha/index.htm BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP Page 247 Post Office, Walsh Station; lives eight miles from Sacramento, on the Jackson road; was born in Ohio, in 1841; removed to Iowa, in 1848, and lived there until 1861; in that year he came to California, across the plains, and settled in this county; is now engaged in farming; owns two hundred acres of land, worth, with improvements, about three thousand dollars. Mr. C. was married, in 1871, to Miss M. E. Patton, a native of Missouri, and who has borne him two sons and three daughters, all of whom are living.
