manufacturer of wagons, carriages, and agricultural implements, was born in 
County Longford, Ireland, February 22, 1847.  In 1863 he came to California, and 
on September 20th of that year arrived in Benicia.  There he served his 
apprenticeship with Charles Crawford Allen at his trade. In 1868 he established 
himself in the business which he still continues.  Married in San Jose, May 14, 
1871, Mary Donlon, by whom he has Joseph F., born February 13, 1872; Mary M., 
born September 9, 1874.; Frederick, born February 23, 1877, and Therese, born 
March 25, 1879.
