	Post Office, Routier; lives two miles from that place and twelve 
miles from Sacramento; was born in Tennessee, in 1828; moved to Missouri in 
1833, and lived there until 1854. He came to California in that year, and 
settled in this county; has lived on his present location since February, 1857, 
and is now engaged in farming. Mr. Evans owns three hundred acres of good land, 
worth, with improvements, about $30,000.
